Recently, families of veterans and servicemen from Ternopil and the region went on a joint trip to Rivne Zoo. For many, it was a long-awaited opportunity to change the scenery and relax, and for the children — a true discovery of the amazing world of nature.

The excursion turned out to be incredible, and not even the rain spoiled the day. The families met majestic lions and tigers, playful monkeys, nimble kangaroos, and in the terrarium they discovered reptiles, bats, and other exotic inhabitants.

Rivne Zoo is one of the largest in Ukraine, home to more than two hundred species of animals, including rare ones listed in the Red Book. It is not only a place for recreation, but also for learning, since getting acquainted with nature brings people closer together, teaches responsibility, and fosters care for the world around us.

Yet perhaps the strongest impression was made by the atmosphere of unity. People who had not known each other before became a friendly company, shared sincere emotions, and created memories that will last forever:

  • “We sincerely thank everyone involved for this wonderful day. Thank you for bringing joy to the children and for not forgetting about our defenders and their families.”
  • “Not even the rain spoiled the leisure that you organized with such warmth. These were incredible impressions that we will cherish for a long time.”

This trip was a wonderful opportunity for the families of our defenders to step away from everyday worries and spend time together. It gave them memories that will warm their hearts for a long time and, most importantly, reminded them how important it is to allow oneself little joys even in difficult times.
