A large number of people took part in one of the best and most annual events in our city of Ternopil – the Easter Basket event. Many people are involved in this event every year, so together with evangelical churches, the city’s territorial center for social services and volunteers, we visited more than 200 lonely elderly Ternopil residents.
No matter what is happening in our country today, there is a holiday that we always want to celebrate – the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! This is the Easter holiday – which brings light and hope, joy and life. And I would like to bring joy to those who feel lonely for various reasons during these spring holidays. Therefore, on the eve of the bright holiday, we visited the homes of lonely people to remind them of the hope brought by Jesus Christ and His Resurrection, paid attention to them, encouraged them with warm hugs and gifts, and sang songs.
We saw joy in their eyes and happiness that they are not forgotten. But the main thing is that the Lord does not forget about them and that we have hope in Him and believe that victory will come from the Lord and we will all wait for it!
