Not far from Ternopil, in the city of Chortkiv on 11 of June, 2022, there were several loud explosions from missiles that hit a military unit near residential buildings. A small quiet town was fired at with 4 rockets. Several military buildings were completely destroyed, many people miraculously survived.
Eyewitnesses say that the blast wave was so strong that it knocked out the walls, doors, windows of neighboring buildings, men and women were lifted and thrown in different directions. People who survived the explosions are convinced that it was God who saved them from death, and believe in the miracle that happened to them. In the military dormitory where the families lived, two families were covered with rubble during the explosion, but they were quickly released from the rubble and their lives were saved.
The small church, which stood at the epicenter of the explosions, remained intact, although the surrounding buildings were completely destroyed. People who live so far from the front line would never have thought that one day the war would be so real and close to them, many of those people no longer have housing, some have just moved into a new apartment, as it was immediately destroyed by rocket fire.
The brutality of the Russian military does not stop, the destruction is becoming more extensive, work on reconstruction and assistance is growing more and more.
Humanitarian aid was provided to the military and residents who were affected by the rocket attack.
