In response to the challenges Ukraine is facing today, the “Light of the Reformation” foundation has launched and is actively developing a program to support veterans, their families, and the families of fallen soldiers. For us, this is not only about assistance, but first and foremost about gratitude, care, and being present alongside those who are going through the difficult path of treatment, rehabilitation, and returning to civilian life.

Over the past few months, we have taken part in a number of initiatives in Ternopil aimed at supporting Ukraine’s defenders. In particular, together with our partners, we organized the distribution of hygiene kits for veterans undergoing treatment in medical facilities in our city and region. These simple but essential items are not only material support for them, but also a sign of attention and a reminder that they are remembered and cared for.

During visits to hospitals and rehabilitation centers, the foundation team, chaplains, and volunteers do not only provide assistance, but also spend time speaking with veterans, offering emotional and spiritual support. For many defenders, these encounters become an opportunity to share their experiences, feel human warmth, support, and prayer during a difficult period of life.

An important event was a charitable medical mission involving doctors from Taiwan and Ukrainian medical professionals. Over the course of two days, veterans, their families, military families, and families of fallen Heroes had the opportunity to receive free consultations, medical check-ups, and dental care. For the participants, this initiative became something more than just practical assistance — it was an expression of human compassion, a sense of care, and the feeling of being seen and valued by the community.

We believe that supporting veterans is the responsibility of each of us — an expression of gratitude, compassion, and respect, as well as a willingness to stand alongside them during a difficult season of life. That is why we continue to create a space of care, support, and hope for those who defend Ukraine and for their families.
