Ahead of Easter, our team once again continued a meaningful tradition — visiting people living alone in our city in order to share with them the joy of the Resurrection of Christ and to offer a moment of care and attention.
The “Easter Basket” initiative was carried out in cooperation with evangelical churches, the Territorial Center for Social Services, and volunteers. Together, we visited 100 people living in loneliness, including 9 veterans, for whom it is especially important to feel support and appreciation from society.
Each person received a small festive gift and warm Easter greetings celebrating the Resurrection of Christ. However, the most valuable part of these visits is not the gifts themselves, but the living conversations, attention, and warmth shared. For many, it was an opportunity to feel remembered and not left alone. In response, we saw sincere smiles, tears of gratitude, and experienced how meaningful simple words of support can be.
In times of challenges and trials, the need for unity and mutual care becomes especially evident. Such initiatives help strengthen the community, build an atmosphere of trust, and remind us of the value of every person.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to the organization and implementation of this initiative: partners, volunteers, and each person who gave their time and heart to serving others. Through our joint efforts, we were able to bring joy and support to those who truly need it.
May the light of the Resurrection of Christ fill hearts with hope, bring peace, and strengthen faith in the victory of good.
